A Nation Mourns

Cable & Deadpool has been canceled by Marvel. This is truly terrible news. No announcement has been made as to whether Deadpool will be getting his own comic after the end of this run. It was end at issue 50, I think, which is a decent run and I think about as far as the original Deadpool comic made it. I for one am very upset. He is my favorite comic book character by very very far and if I have to go more than a month before I get to cut my self on his sharp wit I will very strongly consider suicide.

Overall, the state the high superhero comics world is very poor. Marvel is throwing around their gigantic penis with shit like Civil War and World War Hulk which is fun to read to some extent, but really old and tired. 90% of their characters are so boring and I hope they aren't even considering eliminating the greatest thing they have ever created.

This comes on the heels of the end of Y: The Last Man. That was a little easier to swallow as it had only been planned to run as long as it did. That was one of my favorite comics ever, but the end stint where it only came out every other month was killing me. There is a movie coming out in a year or two but there is just too much worthwhile material to cram into 2 hours. I will see it, of course, but I doubt I will like it. I also plan on doing the whole, "Ya, well it was different in the comic" routine.

On a side note Punisher MAX is still going strong and at least I have something worthwhile to read month to month. Still reading Fables (which is kinda like that shitty movie Enchanted except on crack and LSD) which is always pretty boss. Definitely the best overall story of anything that I would even consider reading. Tough to get into as they take very little time explaining what has already happened and the backstories are very involved.

All up in this.

NH is kinda boring. I've worked and I kinda got in a car accident, but it wasn't serious. I turned 22 and my brother got me a couple Frank Herbert books that I didn't have. I miss Gothmog. Christmas was pretty boring. I went to a wedding that was pretty insane, and we messed up my Dad's car on the way home. Some asshole on the internet made fun of Pokemon and I was pissed. I haven't bought any comics yet. I want some comics.

Well there you go, looking forward to returning to Philly in a week or so.

Some People

Ok so maybe I do become enraged at the drop of hat. I feel like it is nearly always justified, though, so I have no intention of doing anything else. So, anyways, I am doing some normal internet message boarding and I stumble across a thread about dune. Namely, someone is asking if it is worth it to read Messiah. I crack my fingers and think, "Finally, something on which I am an expert." I'm all ready to tell him to read Messiah (it is like 150 pages anyways) and if he likes it read the next two. I was also going to promise him that Children is like a rite of passage and you aren't going to like it but if you get through it you get to read God Emperor so it is all worth it. Then I get this gem:

"Children of Dune is almost my favorite of the bunch (even moreso than the original.)"
-Some Retard on the Internet
So that drove me pretty crazy, I must say. The general mood in this thread was anti-God Emperor so I had to post and set them strait but I don't think it'll be enough. I've come to terms with the fact that there are stupid people, but can't they be banned from reading Frank Herbert, and especially projecting their opinions on others?

Whatev, I am practically out of Frank Herbert books to read now, which is very depressing. I think there is one more that I actually want to read and then the continuation of Destination: Void that he co-wrote with Bill Ransom. I do intend to read his biography though, Dr. Riggs said it was a great way of looking at his entire career so I'd love to eat that up now that I've done his bibliography.

ANGER

Wow, I've been getting really enraged really easily recently. Just ask Matt, I am constantly venting about something that shouldn't be that big of a deal but something in class just pushed me over the edge.

Some faggot piece of shit in my economics class is playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance in on his computer at double speed, using an emulator of course. When he does attacks that have a low chance to hit he uses a save state and keeps repeating it untill it hits. Like Moog Lance which hits for a ton but has a low chance to hit (I think, I don't really remember because that game is not fun at all.) When I saw him do that I wanted to jump down a couple row, break his computer, and start screaming THERE IS ALWAYS A LAW AGAINST BEING A FAGGOT! I AM JUSTICE! YOU ARE GOING TO JAIL! Or something like that.

I don't think I am being unreasonable.

Greatest Thing

So I get the same food every day from the same lunch truck. I mix it up maybe once every 3 weeks. MAYBE. So yesterday as I am walking to the lunch truck I think, "Man I am going to mix it up today." I get there and before I say anything the guy in the truck says, "I bet you want to mix it up today." He said it just felt like that kind of day. I'm glad he knows about how I feel about days and how that relates to the food I eat. Dayum, I have never been so happy.

Ya, and Baddass Muthas! is awesome.
