Some People

Ok so maybe I do become enraged at the drop of hat. I feel like it is nearly always justified, though, so I have no intention of doing anything else. So, anyways, I am doing some normal internet message boarding and I stumble across a thread about dune. Namely, someone is asking if it is worth it to read Messiah. I crack my fingers and think, "Finally, something on which I am an expert." I'm all ready to tell him to read Messiah (it is like 150 pages anyways) and if he likes it read the next two. I was also going to promise him that Children is like a rite of passage and you aren't going to like it but if you get through it you get to read God Emperor so it is all worth it. Then I get this gem:

"Children of Dune is almost my favorite of the bunch (even moreso than the original.)"
-Some Retard on the Internet
So that drove me pretty crazy, I must say. The general mood in this thread was anti-God Emperor so I had to post and set them strait but I don't think it'll be enough. I've come to terms with the fact that there are stupid people, but can't they be banned from reading Frank Herbert, and especially projecting their opinions on others?

Whatev, I am practically out of Frank Herbert books to read now, which is very depressing. I think there is one more that I actually want to read and then the continuation of Destination: Void that he co-wrote with Bill Ransom. I do intend to read his biography though, Dr. Riggs said it was a great way of looking at his entire career so I'd love to eat that up now that I've done his bibliography.

Well you could certainly have posted the thread, asshole. I'd love to pwn some n00bskull too, iykwim.

Anyone who doesn't respect GE and actually likes COD should definitely be gruesomely sterilized and the video posted on YouTube.

I feel you... One of my best friends stopped reading Dune after COD. That mistake has been corrected though =D

... So... maybe you should try Aldous Huxley. He rocks so very hard.

I wasn't all about Brave New World

God no. I mean, Brave New world has its merits.. it's a pretty interesting concept he presents... but his other books, that's where it's at. <3 Eyeless in Gaza and Point Counter Point. If you can appreciate them... i don't know. I might have to re-think how much respect I have for you.
